AYNO S Table Lamp

Introducing Midgard's AYNO S Table Lamp, designed by Stefan Diez. The AYNO challenges the boundaries between adjustable lighting's origin and the status quo. The lamp's minimalistic construction earned it the German Sustainability Award and the Bundespreis Ecodesign. The AYNO meets all criteria of design, technology, and sustainability. It is one of the first LED lights that you can repair without tools, thanks to plug-in connections allowing all parts to be exchanged. Additionally, it is made from recycled materials, making each part reparable by hand. Using semi-finished products, standardized materials can be sourced locally. Furthermore, the AYNO lighting family has one central feature. A fiberglass rod stretched to a bow by a luminaire cable. The rod's inherent tension allows the lamp to have no joints. By sliding the two adjustment rings at the top and bottom, the fiberglass rod is bent into the desired position, directing the light where needed. The cable then tightens the rod into an arc. The radius can be varied as required using the adjustment rings. Once this fine adjustment is done, the swiveling lampshade is complete. Stefan Diez, the German-based designer of the AYNO, graduated from the Stuttgart State Academy of Art and Design. He worked in the studios of Richard Sapper and Konstantin Grcic before founding his studio, DIEZ OFFICE, in Munich in 2003. AYNO is available in two metal finishes. Black or Grey. The textile cable colors are available in both Neon Orange and Black.
