Barcelli Sculpture Lamp by Salvador Dali for BD Barcelona. The Bracelli Floor Lamp is both sculpture and contemporary design. Designed by Salvador Dalí, this handcrafted reproduction expresses how design can meet art, and form can find function. Dalí designed the Bracelli for his home in Portlligat, Costa Brava, Spain, in collaboration with furniture designer Jean Michel Frank. The Bracelli is angular like a lightning bolt bending into a sharp point, and entering the handmade ivory-coloured lampshade. It is a strong piece with vibrant and gold-leaf surface and a supporting wooden crutch at the base. In 2009, BD commemorated the 20th Anniversary of the death of Salvador Dalí with a limited-edition ‘black label’ series of his collection.
