Greta M. Grossman designed the Cobra Floor Lamp to merge organic form with precise control of light. She drew the lamp’s character from the curve of a cobra’s hood, then paired that profile with a flexible arm for true adjustability. Today, GUBI produces the design with careful fidelity to Grossman’s vision.
The Cobra’s tubular arm bends smoothly, and the shade rotates 360 degrees, so you can shift from focused task light to a soft wall wash with ease. Because the weighted base anchors the form, placement remains simple in living rooms, studies, and reading corners. Finishes include powder-coated shades with metal detailing that fit both contemporary and classic interiors.
The Cobra collection earned early acclaim when the Cobra Table Lamp won a Good Design Award and appeared in MoMA’s Good Design exhibition.
