About Turbo Pendant
Turbo Pendant by Louis Weisdorf, produced by GUBI. Designed in, 1965.
Louis Weisdorf conceived the Turbo Pendant in 1965, bringing Japanese rice-paper lantern lightness into a durable and sculptural form. GUBI now produces it with precision craftsmanship that honors his original vision.
The pendant features twelve swirling aluminum lamellae that form a flower-like globe. The layered design softens glare and distributes light gently, making the lamp ideal for dining rooms, living areas, or clustered installations. You can choose between two sizes, Ø36 cm and Ø62 cm, and finishes like Alabaster White with high-gloss exteriors and matte interiors to create nuanced contrast.
Weisdorf designed the Turbo at the height of mid-century optimism, combining simplicity in form with structural complexity. The lamp has become a timeless icon, its sculptural presence celebrated in both modern and retro interiors.
