Large Stone Upright by Henry Wilson for Studio Henry Wilson. This free-standing sculptural form, carved from a single block of stone in Porto, Portugal, emits a soft atmospheric light that contrasts pleasingly with its considerable heft. The design effects an illusion of imbalance, creating a subtle, appealing tension.
To highlight tactility and appearance, and in keeping with our aesthetic and approach, the stone’s surface is left unsealed and porous sections left unfilled, with a honed finish. Because of the uniqueness of each block, colour will vary from one Large Stone Uplight to another.
Please note that the weight of this object (10 kilograms) requires a sturdy supporting surface.
