Greta M. Grossman designed the G‑10 Pendant as her tenth creation for Swedish manufacturer Bergboms, hence the name G‑10. She blended industrial form with elegant curves, crafting a shade that mimics a refined 1950s hat silhouette while expressing minimalist clarity. GUBI now produces the pendant with care, honoring her original finesse.
The pendant features a broad, matte-coated aluminum shade with a gently rough texture paired with a satinized opal glass diffuser that softens and directs light downward. This combination creates inviting illumination that works well over dining tables, kitchen islands, or in clustered installations that play with scale and spacing.
Greta imbued humor into her designs; the shade’s playful, feminine contour contrasts with its industrial finish, while the polished brass canopy and textile cord introduce warmth and detail.
