About Ingo Maurer
Ingo Maurer began designing exceptional lamps, lighting systems and objects beginning in the middle of the 1960s.
In 2005 Ingo Maurer outgrew their production facilities in the courtyard at Kaiserstrasse 47 and a new location for production and shipping was established on the outskirts of Munich. In the former production hall, Ingo Maurer and his team created a spacious showroom, the second after New York, and the only one in Europe. For more than 50 years, Ingo Maurer has designed and produced luminaires and lighting systems with heart, hand and brain.
Today, A team of more than 50 people work together to create objects that combine artistic expression and functional elegance. Each product is manufactured with attention to detail, with craftsmanship, by hand.
