Invoking the busy, bustling energy of a beehive, the Splügen Braü creation by the famed Castiglioni brothers feels both charming and decidedly powerful. Polished and protected with transparent paint, the spun aluminum reflector provides clean, direct light. There is a steel ceiling fitting, as well as a vacuum-formed ABS rose with a white gloss finish. Inspiration behind the design: What is more industrious than a beehive? Achille and Pier Giacamo Castiglioni were known for their ability to take everyday objects and re-imagine them with a a unique, industrialized spin. Here, they drew their inspiration from a beehive—bustling with energy and remarkably efficient.
