When Yrjö Kukkapuro designed his studio in 1968, the architecture, materials, and details were all highly experimental and modern. The vaulted concrete ceiling did not allow for traditional ceiling-mounted fixtures. As a result, the Luminaire Series 100 was born out of Kukkapuro’s own needs.
The YK100AR is the pendant fixture of the family, designed to be used either on its own or in combination with the stands featured throughout the rest of the series.
The YK100AR lighting fixture represents the original design – its lamp head and screen form the basis for all other luminaires in the YK100 series. If desired, a stand from another model in the collection can be ordered separately for added versatility.
