About Quasar

Samy Rio designed his wireless lamp to cast a welcoming glow over your living room or summer evenings on your patio or balcony. The sleek design of the simple, contemporary curves and vibrant colours give Quasar a very unique edge. It can be placed on a piece of furniture, on the floor, or even hung from its tie rope. Not only does the rope add a bit of fun to the design, but it also makes it more versatile. Sold already tied in a knot for portable use, the 1-metre-long rope can be undone to hang 50cm (about 20") below a pergola or other such support. Designed to be used outdoors, the rope is made using UV-resistant and mould-resistant solid polyester. Born of an encounter between Petite Friture and Samy Rio, the Quasar portable lamp is equipped with LEDs and is easy to install, low-energy, and environmentally friendly. Fitted with a dimmer feature, it includes three different light warmth levels: 2200K (warm white), 3000K (neutral white), 4000K (cool white). The intensity of each colour can be switched between three levels with a quick press on the power switch. A rechargeable light that can last up to 6 hours at full intensity 100% and up to 12 hours at 25% intensity. This sustainable and autonomous portable lamp is not only made of 20% recycled aluminium but can itself also be recycled. Boasting IP54 grade waterproofing, it can withstand splashing water and dust.
