When Yrjö Kukkapuro designed his studio in 1968, he worked with highly experimental materials, forms, and architectural ideas. The vaulted concrete ceiling, which prevented the use of traditional ceiling-mounted fixtures, led directly to the creation of the Luminaire Series 100 – a collection developed to meet the designer’s own lighting needs.
The YK100G is a floor lamp in the Series 100 characterized by its impressive reach. Extending nearly 2 meters upward and outward from the center of its base, it provides a wide lighting span that allows for versatile positioning and effective illumination across a room.
