When Yrjö Kukkapuro designed his studio in 1968, he worked with highly experimental materials, forms, and architectural ideas. The vaulted concrete ceiling, which prevented the use of traditional ceiling-mounted fixtures, led directly to the creation of the Luminaire Series 100 – a collection developed to meet the designer’s own lighting needs.
The YK100C is the smallest single floor lamp in the family. Its compact size makes it easy to position in a range of environments, while maintaining compatibility with the stands used across the entire Series 100. The result is a flexible, modern lighting piece rooted in the designer’s original vision.
